Licensees with New England Referral Services do not actively practice real estate. They do not provide brokerage services to buyers or sellers in the purchase or sale of real property. These licensees maintain a license in Vermont (subject to the continuing education, renewal and professional conduct requirements described in the Rules of the VT Real Estate Commission) and can be paid commission for referrals they make to other licensed real estate professionals. All income earned as a result of being licensed through New England Referral Services is paid through the Firm and subject to the agreed upon commission split with the firm. The commission split for all income earned as a licensee of the Firm is: 70% to the Licensee and 30% to the Firm after a 6% service fee is subtracted from the gross commission paid by the receiving firm.
Licensees are Independent Contractors and must sign an agreement with New England Referral Services confirming that status. This Firm and the licensees in the Firm are NOT members of the REALTOR Association or the MLS. Therefore, they do not pay dues associated with those organizations.
If you would like to keep your license active, yet your sales production does support the annual fees you pay to practice real estate - New England Referral Services may be your solution. Keep your relationship with your current Firm and Associates! Refer buyers and sellers to them, earning a referral commission. Buyers and Sellers will benefit from working with an agent you recommend, your former Firm will appreciate the business, and you can earn commission without the risks, fees, and stress.
